Marnie and Ben have whipped a tent up! This is a larger tent where each wall segment is detachable, meaning when summer hits we can take off select walls to let the summer breeze flow through. It also has a capacity for 6 tables, so come 12th April Bigod's Kitchen will be able to seat more guests out of the rain and most of the wind. People waiting for takeaways will be asked to use the seating area inside, so as not to take up tables for in-house diners.
"KEEP THE CHANGE" - FOR US MEANS "HERE'S A PLANT!"
Do you ever wonder what happens to that 20p you tell us to keep when you aren't worried about your change? Well, we have been saving it since lockdown, and it gave us a generous budget to buy some new plants for us to put inside the tent to help lift the atmosphere for external dining. We are talking trees, shrubs, flowers, fairy lights, hanging baskets and some rather spiffy table clothes to pop out against the green!
NEW CHEF? NEW MENU? NEW START!
We are excited to announce we will be releasing a new delicious Spring/Summer menu when re-opening on April 12th! We are talking salads, hand made burgers and even a weekly Asian special.
Oh yeah... the new chef? We are looking forward to working with our new chef Jimmy, who has become renowned in Bungay for his amazing hand-made pies, but he is eager to lean into his passion for Asian cuisine. We are looking forward to seeing and tasting the yummy creations he makes for us!
After our roasts AND Afternoon teas sold out on Mothers Day, we decided Easter would be another prime opportunity to please the masses once more!
We are already taking bookings for our Afternoon teas. With only 30 slots available, we suggest booking sooner rather than later!
That's our news for now! Feel free to get in touch if you have a charity event or any community news pertaining to Bungay! We will put one submitted item in our next newsletter! Email your local story/news to firstname.lastname@example.org
